The GR series wire rope isolator (commonly known as "butterfly-shaped") developed by Xi'an Hoan Microwave Co., Ltd. is a high-performance vibration damping device based on the principle of nonlinear damping. Its core is composed of multiple strands of stainless steel wire ropes braided according to a specific topological structure, forming a unique double-axis symmetric butterfly wing shape. This design not only endows the isolator with 360° omnidirectional impact resistance, but also converts mechanical vibration into heat energy for dissipation through the friction energy dissipation mechanism between the wire rope strands.
Compared with traditional rubber isolators, the innovation of the GR series lies in the absence of aging hazards - the metal material completely avoids the defects of rubber that is prone to oxidation and deterioration, and its service life can reach more than 20 years. At the same time, it has environmental universality, and its performance is stable in extreme temperature ranges from -55℃ to +200℃ and harsh working conditions such as salt spray and oil pollution. Measured data show that its suppression effect on the vibration transmissibility in the 15-500Hz frequency band exceeds 60%, and it is particularly good at protecting precision instruments from low-frequency impact interference.
